This really isn't my first go round with not having relaxed hair but I think this is it! I have experimented with every color, length and cut but wearing my hair in it's natural state has been a thing I did for a moment.
Wearing my hair short and in its naturalness has always been easy but transitioning to a longer, fuller crowning glory has been quite a bit more challenging than I expected. There are literally thousands of products on the market for natural hair novices and devotees, that one has to become somewhat of a product junkie to find what works best for their hair.
It's been a little over a year and I am very proud to say that "I am my natural hair" which is now fuller, healthier and with a bit more curl than I have ever had. I have several different hair textures and after some mis-adventures I think I have finally found the right products to enhance and fortify my hair.
A few months ago I was introduced to a wonderful company out of Chicago called Thank God It's Natural and have to commend them on some amazing products from the soft Shampoo and Conditioner with Honey to the Daily Moisturizer. They keep my hair glowing, growing and fortified.
Yesterday I tried something different, a protective style for the winter, cornrows or braiding. My hair is growing longer and winter is not kind to someone like me who wears her natural hair loose. I love being free but it's also refreshing to experience the many sides of me! Naturally:-)
